About us
Testrella AG was founded in 2024 by the Seedorff family as a sister company of Estrella AG. Since 1945, Estrella AG has manufactured glass-lined pipings, apparatus, and further equipment to premium quality standards. With the new tantalum workshop, Testrella AG ranks among the first suppliers worldwide able to deliver tantalum and glass-lined steel from a single source. The company's operational management is led by Sascha Link, who also serves as technical managing director of Estrella AG. As a family business, Estrella AG has long stood for innovation, highest quality, and great reliability. These values underpin existing and future business relationships and set a distinctive foundation for direct, straightforward, and solution-oriented collaboration.
Over the past two years, Testrella AG — in close cooperation with its sister company Estrella AG — has purposefully invested in building and expanding production infrastructure. This includes a modern workshop as well as high-quality facilities, machinery, and equipment at the company headquarters in Ettingen (Switzerland). This commitment underlines a clear pledge to Switzerland as a location and to "Made in Switzerland" quality.
The certifications required for tantalum manufacturing are in place. All demanding customer audits have been passed successfully. Testrella AG therefore meets the highest quality and manufacturing standards.

Applications
Our tantalum equipment is designed for demanding chemical processes, especially with highly corrosive media. Using tantalum ensures high resistance to aggressive chemicals.
By manufacturing the steam-side components in tantalum, we achieve reliable resistance even to strongly acidic media. The design enables efficient heat transfer and a maintenance-friendly configuration.
Depending on the application, our heating elements are designed and built for different installation positions (horizontal or vertical). Interfaces and tolerances are precisely matched to the specific application.
Our U-tube bundle heat exchangers are executed to suit the respective operating conditions. Interfaces and tolerances are precisely aligned with the requirements of the plant.
In combination with glass-lined vessels from Estrella AG, we offer coordinated complete solutions from a single source. This allows interfaces and tolerances to be optimally matched.
Platinum spots can optionally be integrated into all our products according to customer-specific requirements. Manufacturing is carried out entirely in-house in Switzerland.
The result: reliable heating, high plant availability, and a technically optimised overall solution in Swiss quality.

Material tantalum
Tantalum is a refractory metal with outstanding corrosion resistance (especially to acids), a high melting point, and excellent ductility. It is ideal for highly aggressive chemical and pharmaceutical processes.
In heat exchangers, columns, and piping systems, tantalum enables long service life, reliable operation, and consistent product quality — even under extreme conditions.
